Welcome to our new classroom blog. This is where you can find information about what we have been learning at school and other general reminders. If you have questions please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Learning intentions:
We have been learning strategies for counting on and adding to 20
We have been working on number sense and counting to 100
We learned a new math game, race to 100
We learned a new Core word of the week “It”, rhyming words
We added onto our morning meeting and are reviewing days of the week
We worked on fine motor practice through printing and tracing practice
We worked on turn taking skills with games
We learned about strategies to support our learning
How to work with others
Worked on life skills such as proper hand washing
Book of the week:
“The Self- Control Shark”
We discussed positive choices and negative choices through sorting and categorizing.
Ways you can continue learning at home:
Practice counting and number identification
Reading with your child and asking questions around comprehension of the story or sequence of events
Asking your child how they think they learn best?
Examples of rhyming words “it”
Examples of positive and negative behaviour (or good or bad behaviour)
Playing games with your child to practice turn taking, how to roll a dice etc.
Other reminders:
Please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. Please make sure your child has a pair of indoor shoes. We have two snacks and a lunch a day. Next week is spirit week, join the fun!

Thursday: Dress like a Teacher
Friday: Pyjama Day
