Hello parents and Gaurdian’s, 


Another busy week of learning in room 3. We were fortunate to have our last day of inline skating as well as learning from Elder Sandra Manyfeathers. This week we focused on many important skills.



  • Effective communicating (I would like _____, asking peers questions during morning meeting)

  • Creating sentences (when given words, asked to put in order)

  • Understanding parts of a sentence (Capitals, punctuation)

  • Fine motor skills

  • Indigenous ways of knowing, learning songs and words in Blackfoot.

  • Turn taking skills, My turn, your turn

  • Regulation strategies such as our new body sock we have in the classroom

  • Math Centres

  • Fun new games on the smart board

  • Family Friday (students from other classrooms join us for some fun learning activities) 

  • Making cards for our new student joining us next week

Other Reminders


Please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately for the weather as we are outside everyday. This includes hats, mitts, snowpants, jacket, boots, scarf etc. Please make sure your child has a pair of indoor shoes and that all belongings are labeled with your child's name as many items look the same. We have two snacks and a lunch a day. If your child is away or will be late, please email me and let the office know if possible. Please reach out with any questions Jechaacke@cbe.ab.ca.

Dear Parents and Guardian's Happy Holidays from Room 3.  We hope with this upcoming holiday season you spend time with your family.  We have had a busy week. We spent our mornings caroling as a school, enjoyed teachings from Elder Sanda Manyfeathers and learning lots throughout the week. Students have been so excited for this exciting opportunity.
